What is Klonopin?

Klonopin is a drug of the class benzodiazepines. Its generic name is Clonazepam. Klonopin is used to treat panic disorder, social anxiety disorder and certain seizure disorders. In children and teenagers, the dosage for Clonazepam depends on the bodyweight of the individual. Initial dose in adults for panic disorders should be 0.25mg per day. Optimal maintenance dose is 1mg per day, which should be increased after 3 days. Higher daily doses have proven to be less effective. If a patient requires a higher dose, 4mg is the daily limit and should be increased by 0.125mg to 0.25mg every 3 days.

Missing a Dose of Klonopin
